Inspired by her personal journey, Raquel is dedicated to learning to teach and use yoga to guide individuals struggling with misperceptions of the body. The intrinsic qualities encapsulated in every body deserve to shine much brighter and are far more beautiful than the distorted images created in today's society.
Sparked by her nature to seek out intensity in her workouts, she discovered hot yoga in 2008 and developed a regular practice along with the confidence to explore other styles of yoga. This journey sprung the realization that her love affair with yoga came at a transitional healing time. Bringing to light that the struggles we face in this life, in our past, are blessings that carry us to the very place we need to be. Every individual deserves to know what it is like to love and to be kind to ourselves inside and outside of these bodies. Raquel's intention is to provide a safe opportunity for her students to gather the generous tools that yoga offers. Empowering individuals to guide their own bodies, breath, and mind to retreat from everyday pressures.
Completed her RYT 200 in Anusara/Hatha yoga and has been teaching and continuing to pursue her education ever since. Her offerings include alignment based, yin, and restorative classes; private sessions and childrens yoga.
